Valdez KOA
Alaska is truly the land that calls you. Once you visit, the spell it casts will call you again and again. The vastness, the majestic beauty, the lure of land not yet traveled.
The wild beauty of America’s Last Frontier awaits at the Valdez KOA. Eighteen acres of wilderness surround the campground, where you can easily access hiking and ATV trails. Beyond, glacier-caked peaks dominate the view in all directions. A pristine stream flows right through the campground, churning with salmon in season. Bald eagles soar by, and the occasional bear wanders through. With a camp store, Wi-Fi and other on-site services, you can settle right in and get ready to explore this magnificent region. Charter a local guide to fish world-class waters for salmon and halibut. Board a wildlife excursion boat to scan the Sound for humpback whales, fuzzy sea otters, comical-looking puffins and other birds not often seen in the Lower 48. Come face-to-face with one of the largest tidewater glaciers in North America, an ice sheet as high as a football field and another big Alaska memory. Open May 1 (weather permitting). Max pull thru: 75 feet.
Under new ownership in 2020, your hosts Jason & Kristin Britt look forward to sharing Alaska with you!
