There are over 80 Native American Totem Poles located in downtown Ketchikan. You can pick up a free walking tour map available at the Ketchikan Visitors Bureau and at locations all around town which include totem poles as well as other local attractions. Totem poles are monuments created by First Nations of the Pacific Northwest and can serve as a signboard, genealogical record or memorial.
